Bristol RAG’s Partner Charity Applications are now open! If you represent a charity you can now apply to be our next partner charity. We’re looking for 3 charities to work with, including at least 2 local charities and at most 1 national/international charity.
What is Bristol RAG?
Bristol RAG is the fundraising arm of The University of Bristol Students’ Union. We have been raising funds for great causes for over 90 years, organising events such as RAG Week, Jailbreak, Raids, and more. Every year we partner with 3 charities, we raise as much as possible for the charities and also raise a lot of awareness!
How does the application process work?
Charities will be able to submit applications until the 31st of August at midnight. After this the committee look over all the applications and will meet to create a shortlist. The shortlist of charities will be put to a University wide vote in the first 2 weeks of term (24th September – 5th October). We will announce our partner charities in early October and inform those charities. We hope to meet with representatives from all our partner charities by the end of October.
I’m a student/staff member at the University, how can I nominate a Charity?
Charities make the application to the partner with us, however we of course want these charities to target issues that the community at the University find important. If you’ve been personally involved with a charity and would like them to apply, send them the application form. We run applications this way so we can ensure charities are willing to actively engage with RAG to raise money and awareness.
If you’re aware of a charity that has made an application to us, you can sponsor their application by filling in our “Charity Application Student Sponsor” form. We’ll take this into account when shortlisting charities for the University wide vote. Please note you must provide a MyBristol username so we can verify that you’re a student.
